Before You Adopt
I have always been an advocate for shelter animals for as long as I can remember. The best way to help the overpopulation of shelters animals is by adopting. I want nothing more than for a homeless animal to finally be able to call a place home. This also means I am an advocate for shelter animals to find great, forever homes, not a home where in a month or a year he or she will end up at a shelter where his or her days will be numbered yet again. That is why is it so important to know what you are getting into before you adopt a pet from the animal shelter. Animals need love, care and attention. Some consider it is like adding a child to your family. Before you adopt a dog or a cat, you will need to make sure you are ready to add a new family member to your home.
1. Do you have enough time to devote to your new pet? Can you make a life-long commitment?
